So I will add that the more space marines heroes box is less randomized. If you buy the whole package of them then you get every mini in the set plus one, this was done so you could play killteam with them (which they have rules for) but if you buy them one at a time in an open package then it’s random. I hope they do this again with another army

you know you can paint a regular marine differently and just call him a sargent or apothecary.

I once DM’d a one shot and I created a puzzle that was basically the Indiana Jones 3 puzzle where they had to jump across a hall with letters on the floor and spell out a word. The key to them solving was a journal one of the enemies had that was translating the symbols into common. For that I found a small blank book at the dollar store and made the physical prop for my players to flip through and use to solve the puzzle. On each page I drew the symbols that were on the floor and matching to each letter of the alphabet. It was on them to figure out what the word was based on context clues. Very memorable puzzle for my group and it cost $1 and about two hours of time to make the book a prop.

People play DND in prison. They use erasers with the ends filed down into polyhedral rolling dice and just draw monsters on slips of paper. Now, you technically cant play DND since the SRD isnt actually DND but PATHFINDER HOWEVER.

New idea: you don't have set rotation, BUT you have a rule that a certain percentage of your deck must contain cards from the last two years. That way, only 5-10% of your deck needs to "rotate."

Well the good news is they've done a lot since this video. Reuploaded the tutorial (still kinda bad, but better voices), restructured prizing, added free web manga on their site, and they have sets scheduled for up to December 2024. Probably still too late, but who knows, maybe they can turn things around. My buddy who HATES cardgames is actually now interested in this game due to the Eva tie in. I decided to show him how to play and he really liked it. So there's the slightest bit of hope.

dude i had no idea this was a game, i bought a ship on a whim like 2 weeks ago and had so much fun building it, i think this is an excellent toy on it's own and it's awesome it has this other aspect to it!

NO WAIT I GET IT. This change lets you balance allies better by choosing whether or not they can get combat buffs from don which can reduce the power ceiling on certain bomb cards!!! I love it

So cool. I’m glad they have kits for the ships I already have. I loved the creativity of Snapships and building my own was a real treat. Now I can use my handful of toys in a game that looks like a lot fun!

i honestly think this is a great idea the same way a lego wargame would be a great idea as you mentioned. Ironic that this is posted the same day they officially cancelled x-wing, but hey that means its filling a new hole in the market i guess lmao

There are already pilot cards. They were released as part of the Kickstarter. I want to say they had once per game effects, but its been a while since i touched my set. They were made to be for fun games and not serious/tournament play.

I bet you can guess where the "Raven" in my username comes from. I absolutely adore Zoids, right from the first episode of New Century. I had concerns about Chaotic when it came later, knowing how different the feel was gonna be, ended up falling in love with it even moreso. What an amazing series.
